Property Tax Advocate
Passionate in his desire to protect property owners, Mr. O’Connor has developed the “Property Tax Protection Program™”, which affirms O’Connor’s role as an advocate for property owners. The program has encouraged appraisal districts to comply with laws regarding the timely submission of evidence prior to the hearing and properly scheduled hearings which present only lawful evidence. It has also encouraged appraisal districts to consider unequal appraisal.
O’Connor & Associates is uniquely aggressive in representing property owners in appealing property taxes. O’Connor uses every step in the appeal process that is practical to reduce its client’s property taxes annually. For example, O’Connor is much more aggressive in coordinating judicial appeals and filing binding arbitration cases than any other property tax consultant in the United States. The firm handles about 180,000 protests for over 120,000 clients annually, about five to ten times more than the second largest tax consultant, based on the number of appeals.
